Introduction

Motivation is the key to young people learning languages.

While the motivation to learn English as a foreign language is high, it tends to be far less for French and German, and is almost non-existent for other less common European languages, such as Swedish (only 1% of the population of the European Union learn Swedish as a foreign language).

The interest in learning a foreign language at school also decreases with age, especially for boys.

In order to counter this trend, it is necessary to promote innovative ways to focus on the learning needs of young people, with greater use of Outdoor Learning.
